Project Tab Manager, which briefly gained niche popularity as the Chrome Extension that helps you get a girlfriend, has reached version 3.0.

Did you know web browsers can now make music? Or at least sound. By using the Web Audio API, you can synthesize, add effects, modulate, split, and merge—whatever audio processing you can imagine is now available across many browsers. There is also MIDI support. Chrome has a Web MIDI API implementation behind a flag, so you can hook up your synthesizer to send and receive MIDI signals.

Time flies—this was already the third edition of our hackathon exploring and enjoying sound using browser-ready technologies like the Web Audio API and Web MIDI API. Once again, it was packed with rich content and a ton of fantastic creations, but in this post, I'd like to share a quick overview of how it went.
